Code of Ethics
For Southern California Rental Housing Association
The members of the Southern California Rental Housing Association in observance of our responsibilities as housing providers, business professionals, and citizens living and doing business in the State of California hereby adopt this Code of Ethics to guide ourselves and the industry in our dealings for the betterment of our profession and community and under which we will strive to:
- Comply with:
a. all local, state, and federal laws and regulations applicable to the rental housing industry.
b. the State of California’s Bill of Rights for Landlords and Residents of Multifamily Housing.
c. the Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA) as well as the federal Fair Housing Act (FHA). - Commit to the fair treatment of all parties, and act with honesty and integrity.
- Promote the ongoing education of the industry and the public as to the ethical, respectful, and responsible management and operation of rental housing.
Be ever mindful of the purpose of the Association, its mission, vision, and core values.
