Resident Outreach: Strategies to Save Time and Reduce Stress (South County)
Join us at Southwestern College in Chula Vista for this engaging class!
SCRHA has partnered with the National Center for Conflict Resolution to bring you an important certification course to help you manage communication challenges with your residents.
More than 20% of San Diego residents come from other countries, and this course will help you overcome common issues due to language and cultural differences.
This course also covers invaluable information about working with refugees, including benefits for housing providers, financial and legal considerations, and conflict de-escalation skills.
Participants will gain skills in:
- Recognizing and avoiding discrimination issues
- Best practices when renting to immigrants and refugees
- Conflict de-escalation
After completing the course, you will be a certified Inclusive Housing Provider and earn a digital badge to use on your website and email signature.
This training is available thanks to a partnership with the County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency - Department of Homeless Solutions and Equitable Communities - Office of Immigrant and Refugee Affairs.
*Any registration fees collected are on behalf of SoCalRHA, not NCRC or the County of San Diego
If your company is interested in hosting one of these courses on site, please email the SCRHA Education Manager at Bhaycock@socalrha.org for more details.
