SCRHA Advocacy in Action
SCRHA Volunteers spent yesterday in Sacramento to discuss bills related to security deposits, mandating acceptance of pets, and screening fees. Our team shared the concerns of the rental housing industry during our 11 meetings with Assemblymembers and Senators.
Thank you to our volunteers who spent their time advocating for our members and all rental housing providers. Join us at the SCRHA Rental Housing Conference & EXPO for a Legislative Update and other informative education sessions. Register Today >
Important Reminder for Flood-Impacted Properties & Tenants
SCRHA is reminding owners of properties impacted by the floods in late January to take advantage of FEMA aid and other resources available. You may also wish to make information available to your residents. The County of San Diego Emergency Lodging Program is expected to come to an end on May 11, however, there is concern that many properties may not be fully repaired at that time and that residents may need additional help with temporary lodging or assistance finding permanent homes.
Property owners should apply for FEMA assistance if they have not already.
- Apply online at DisasterAssistance.gov
- Use the FEMA App by downloading the app via text messaging. On an Android device, text ANDROID to 43362; on an Apple device, text APPLE to 43362.
