New San Diego TPO Framework!
Since day one, SCRHA has been at the forefront of the City of San Diego Tenant Protection Ordinance (TPO) discussions and a lead resource for City Hall, working closely with Mayor Todd Gloria and Council President Sean Elo-Rivera's office to help ensure a balanced solution that protects both renters and property owners.

The ordinance is tentatively scheduled to go before the full City Council on April 25, 2023. Please save the date so you can show up to and/or call into the hearing! Learn More >

Urge the CA Senate Judiciary Committee to Vote NO on SB 567
SB 567 (Durazo) will change the landmark law, AB 1482, which only went into effect in 2020, just as the pandemic hit. The Tenant Protection Act has never had a real opportunity to work outside of COVID. Tenant advocates are using COVID as a means to implement stricter rent control and to change Just Cause protections that didn’t go far enough for them in the first place. Learn More >
