City of San Diego TPO Forms Now Available!
Members may now access the necessary forms to comply with the City of San Diego Tenant Protection Ordinance. New forms include a City of San Diego Rental Agreement, the required Mandatory Notification Addendum and Letter, Exemption Addendum and Letter, and more.
SCRHA was informed yesterday that the Tenant Protection Guide that must accompany the Mandatory Notification should be available from the San Diego Housing Commission in the coming days! While the notification and guide must be given to existing residents, housing providers have 90 days from the ordinance effective date (June 24) to serve those. However, tenancies that commence or renew beginning this Saturday, must provide the notification in the lease or via an included addendum. A copy of the Tenant Protection Guide must also be provided. SCRHA will share the guide as soon as it becomes available. The Rental Agreement and Mandatory Notification forms will reference the delivery of the Tenant Protection Guide is forthcoming in the event it isn’t available at lease signing or when the notification is provided. SCRHA will remove the reference from the forms once the guide is added to the forms library.
SCRHA has also created a new webpage to serve as guidance on the new law and to further explain the necessary forms. Click here.
