NAA Shares Member Resource: Immigration Enforcement and Rental Housing
On January 20, 2025, the Trump Administration, via Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) under the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), began immigration enforcement activities, including operations at rental housing communities. NAA is providing general information on how to interact with ICE agents if they show up at your property. Learn more. 

Reminder: Anti-Price Gouging Rental Rules in LA & Ventura Counties
SCRHA wishes to remind members that the statewide emergency declaration related to Bird Flu has expired. However, anti-price gouging rules are in place in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties due to the fires in early January. If you have properties in those areas pay special attention when raising or setting rents. The LA City Attorney recently called out a company for illegally raising rents and price gouging. Read more. SCRHA suggests members bookmark the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services website and check it periodically to see where price gouging protections are in place and when they expire. (Note: Penal Code sections 396 (e) & (f) are specific to rental housing).
