Legislative Update - November 7, 2024

You did it! Proposition 33 rejected by over 60% of voters!
With all precincts partially reporting, Proposition 33 is losing by 61.5%. Election results are expected to be certified by December 13. SCRHA thanks all of the members who supported our efforts in the fight against the worst form of rent control. Your generous contributions helped get the message out to voters about the negative consequences of rent control. Click here if you missed SCRHA’s Election Update yesterday. 

Proposition 34 is also leading with 51.5% of the vote. This measure would help ensure that Michael Weinstein cannot use profits from his foundation to fund a ballot measure like Prop. 33 for the fourth time.

While some SCRHA endorsed candidates were victorious, votes are still being counted in local elections. SCRHA will continue to update its Voter Guide as more results become available.
